Simplicity can be deceptive, and this Japanese kitchen towel is the result of expert design and rigorous trial and error. During the 1960's, one of the lead editors of the popular homemaking magazine, Kurashi no Techo (Guidebook for Living), realised that there were no well-functioning kitchen towels available. Frustrated by this, she reached out to a textiles manufacturer and proposed they collaborate to create the best kitchen towel in Japan. After producing 40 different prototypes and testing various materials and styles of weaving, they selected this towel as the best. This is the superlative kitchen towel and a testament to considered design.

Item details: 65% cotton, 35% rayon. Available in green or red. The materials are lint free and maximize absorption and endurance. It can be used and washed many times without affecting quality.
